Abstract
    A new species of Aspella was collected in the vicinity of Hurghada, Egypt. It is here described and compared to 6 other species, Aspella mauritiana Radwin & D’Attilio, 1976, A. media Houart, 1987, A. omanensis Houart, Gori & Rosado, 2017, A. producta. (Pease, 1861), A. thomassini Houart, 1985, and A. vokesiana Houart, 1983, all of which occur in the western Indian Ocean and some in the vicinity of the Red Sea.
