Abstract
Six bottom samples, collected in the Gulf of Calvi (Corsica), at depths ranging from 27 to 36 metres, yielded an ostracod fauna belonging to the calcareous algae assemblage and to the Posidonia-assemblage (sensu Puri, Bonaduce and Malloy, 1964). The total ostracod fauna is represented by 50 species. Zoogeographically, the ostracod faunas of the Gulf of Calvi and the Gulf of Naples resemble each other closely. There is a gross similarity between the ostracod faunas of the Gulf of Calvi, the Gulf of Naples, the Marseilles area and the Monaco area.
