Abstract
Based on original and literary data, and taking into account the results of taxonomic revisions and nomenclatural changes, a new checklist of Black Sea green macrophytes was developed. Its composition is formed by 80 species represented by 92 infraspecific taxa. They are referred to 32 genera from 16 families of 8 orders. Thirteen species are new for the Black Sea flora. The greatest green algae species diversity is observed along the Ukrainian seacoast (60 species and 66 infraspecific taxa), and the greatest number of species new for the flora (10) were registered along Anatolia seacoast.

Dataset
  • Macroalgae of the Crimean coastal zone (Black Sea, 1967-2007)
