Abstract:
De groep ECOCHEM (Ecosystems Physico-Chemistry) wil de kennis van het mariene, zoetwater en terrestrisch milieu verbeteren door analytisch-chemische, fysische en biochemische analyses, door deze analyses verder te ontwikkelen en door de resultaten te valideren. De resultaten vormen een nationale bijdrage voor internationale verplichtingen over monitoring (opvolging van de milieukwaliteit), een wetenschappelijke basis voor het beleid en een ondersteuning voor het onderzoek van diverse ecosystemen. Het werk is dus zowel beleidsondersteunend als gericht op wetenschappelijk onderzoek.
