Description
Suspended sediment concentration (monthly average) in mg/l in surface water at six measuring stations in the Ems estuary. Data collected by Imares in 2012-2013. more
Suspended sediment concentration in mg/l in surface water at six measuring stations in the Ems estuary. Samples taken by Imares in 2012-2013. Data collected on behalf of Rijkswaterstaat (RWS) within the RWS project 'Research mud dynamics Ems Estuary' that was carried out by Deltares and Imares in the context of the Water Framework Directive (WFD). Samples collected 1 m below the water surface with a pump system from a ship, then filtered in laboratory. The Imares data start around low tide at station Huibertgat (station 1), but since the Imares measurements cover more stations the tidal phase differs within the estuary. During the summer months surveys are usually every 2 weeks; during the winter months once per month.
