Description
This data-set summarize the results of four spatial surveys (conducted between 2016 and 2018) aiming at measuring benthic compartment biodiversity and functions within the West-Gironde Mud Patch while accounting for average seasonal changes in the water discharge of the Gironde Estuary. It consists in:
(1) Main sedimentary parameters (granulometry, permeability, porosity, OC, TN, THAA, EHAA, chl a, phaeo a…)
(2) Benthic diversity including macrobenthos and microbenthos
(3) Bioturbation and Benthic Habitat Ecological Quality through sediment profile imagery,
(4) O2 and nutrient fluxes at the Sediment-Water Interface (including both total and diffusive fluxes).
