In March 2000, the Flemish Environment Agency initiated the development of a water bed monitoring network. The objective is to map the ecological quality of water beds. more
In March 2000, the Flemish Environment Agency initiated the development of a water bed monitoring network. The objective is to map the ecological quality of water beds. Yearly, 150 measuring locations are designated, in total there will be 600. Because the quality of the water bed evolves slowly when no sanitation takes place and because of the complexity of the research, 150 measuring stations are sampled each year. On the website of the Federal Environmental Agency results can be consulted per city or water way. The results can also be seen via the geographical map of Flanders.
